I believe that aside from family, friends are all that matters in life. I believe in friendship. True friendships are so hard to come by, but when they do they are irreplaceable. A true friend will center a day on their best friend. Imagine a person giving all their time away just to satisfy a friend and keep them company. To find a friend and be a friend like that one must dig deep inside themselves. A friend will be there not because they will get anything in return, but because they love you; all a friend will ask is time in return. A true friend will go to the ends of the world to be with their best friend. My best friend is someone I know will be in my life until I die. This nameless friend will go anywhere with me. We have been best friends since the second grade and we have made it through many hardships in our often rocky relationship. We get into the strangest situations and neither of us cares because it is time well spent and time is the best thing to spend on someone. We drive until we find something to do and we do it; we go exploring caves not knowing what to expect; we go to the mountains on a regular day just to play in the snow for a half hour before we have to be back to the lives we left back in the hot restless city. We have even ended up in a nudist colony out in the desert completely by mistake. We don’t need money to be happy when we are together because money isn’t important when all you need is time. Friends can laugh and share secrets that are sacred and the other always knows their secret is safe. Memories made between friends lasts longer than any item you could possibly purchase. Be happy you have that one friend to be there for you when no one else is around. Friendship is priceless and if you can find that one true friend, you are the luckiest person in the world.
