Breathe it All In
I believe in life and its experiences. I believe in seeing all forms of creatures in a natural setting. From great to small, they all co-exist together. I believe in walking outside and being instantly warmed by the touch of the sun on my skin. The Earth is full of life, and it is in the eye of each individual to see its greatness. From my eyes, every single life holds importance.
When I was young, I was unaware of the importance of life. I remember my first experience with life; it was during the summer after my fifth birthday. My brothers, sisters, and I could only think about playing Indians. Everyday, we would step out into the sun ready to build shelters from wood and mud, make pretend soup from grass and leaves, and hunt for food. One day, I was running through the woods hunting for food, and I saw a deer. It was amazing; a sight that I had never seen before. The deer was eating grass and drinking from a stream, when the sound of a brittle leaf crumbling beneath my feet made the deer look up and run away. I walked away from the woods with the biggest smile on my face. The next day, my dad came home from hunting with a deer for his prize, and one glimpse of that lifeless deer broke my heart. However, after dinner that night, the sight of my family’s full, happy bellies made me realize that the deer’s life provided our lives with nourishment. Ever since then, I have been interested in life. Searching to find the meaning that life holds in nature, has led me to have a stronger feeling for my belief in life.
I believe in the circle of life. Microscopic organisms keep the cycle going. I believe without them, plant, animal and human life would cease to exist. These organisms give life to plants. In turn, plants and trees produce oxygen that bonds an infinite number of lives to them. Living, breathing, and feeding off nature, every creature creates life. Whether they are tigers, bears, fish, birds, flowers, trees or rabbits, they all live and belong in the same way world.
Also, there are millions of human lives that thrive off nature and develop techniques that allow them prosper. As I have come to know, every human life is completely different. There are many different races, religions, views, and cultural backgrounds, but they are all important. Each one contributes an aspect that gives to the world. The capacity to grow by learning, laughing, and playing are the reasons why I believe life is valuable.
I feel a sense of pride when I think about life because I believe that nature is an oasis of lives that co-exist together to form one complex relationship. I believe all creatures are supreme. I believe life, like nature, has no boundaries. The sun beaming down from the crystal sky, the green grass, the tall trees, and the animals and the humans all living together, is life. I experience it everyday; it’s overwhelming, so I stop and just breathe it all in.
