I believe that God pushes people. He will push you out the door of your “comfort” house like a parent does to an 18 year old. Most of the time people are content to just sit on the couch of there comfort house and be a bum. But God says “I have other plans for you.” And then he puts you some place different, somewhere you aren’t comfortable and gets you to help that place out somehow. Then once you have learned something there and became comfortable he will take you somewhere else and gets you to do something a little more difficult. This is God’s version of basic training. He puts you in different situations that challenge you but are possible for you to do. He then trains you with some other skill the same way eventually you can tackle more complicated situations, all the time helping people. After that I have no idea what God does for you but I do believe that God has great rewards for those who carry out his plan and live faithful to him.
As far as my story goes, I have been raised in a church for all my life. I think that in some ways I didn’t get as much out of God as others did I was just used to him. I lived in Virginia till God put me here in Ohio three years ago. I knew nobody and had difficulty finding my place. Eventually I got used to here and found my place. Now I like it here better, than I did in Virginia. God then helped me to start a youth band at my church. It was difficult but exciting. It was the first time in my life I’ve actually known I was part of Gods plan. Now I am planning a concert for local youth bands like ours and though I see how difficult this will most likely be, I am still eager to see what happens. I know that no matter what happens, He is there leading me down the right paths. And even though I have no idea what or where God will take me next, I am determined to do his will. This I believe.
