THIS I BELIEVE
April 27, 2005
On the afternoon of April 21, 2005, a friend said to me, “You act like yourself and not anybody else. I like that about you.”
I said, “Why be someone else when you can be yourself?”
Well that’s who I am, the person who will always try to encourage people when they’re down. What guides my life, my core, is that if I want to be trusted, I have to be trustworthy. That’s what always comes into my head.
I believe that you should never, never turn your back on a friend or a family member when they need your help. If somebody is down, always try to help them up. I believe that the love of a person can cure the sadness of any human being.
Every morning when I wake up, I ask myself, “What is going to happen today?” and I just hope it’s a good day and that I can meet new people and learn about the world around me.
