The Good, Bad, and The Lucky
I believe there will always be both good and bad people. My name is Jorge. Most people think that L.A. is nothing more than violence, killings, and drugs. Well, it isn’t! I live in a quiet neighborhood where gangs usually don’t cross. But in most of the neighborhoods around mine, killings are quite common.
There are two main gangs at the neighborhood. Since they rarely pass through, I don’t really know their names. Mostly they just ignore my neighborhood. But they usually kill people in other gangs around mine. No matter which gang is where, there are a lot of deaths, and I usually go to the cemetery to visit the lonely, dead people that died because of gangs.
I am lucky. No one I know has yet died from gang warfare. Yet I’m sad for all those who have. Each night I pray that my family won’t die because of gangs. There will always be both good and bad. This I believe.
