“I believe in Cigarettes”
I HATE my garden, with its searing heat, its choking weeds, its platoons of welting insects.
I HATE my dogs, with their expensive arthritis, their howling disobedience, their racing happiness.
I HATE my children, with their incessant demands, their cruel ingratitude, their moral certainty.
I believe in cigarettes, easeful, friendly, DELICIOUS cigarettes. who ask nothing of me except my life, which is a living hell anyway.
