I believe in the future. On Saturday, February 11th at 6:22am I became a grandparent.
At that moment and since I imagine this world beyond my life. Well before I will able to teach to teach my grandson anything he has taught me to look at life in a different way.
Like never before I wish and work for a future that all children are liberated from war, starvation and abuse. I hope for a future that does not record color, gender and sexual orientation as a means of defining someone. I hope for a future that disagreement doesn’t translate into disengagement.
I believe in these ideals. I believe in the future. I believe in humanity when my grandson looks at me and smiles.
Thank you Samad. Thank for reminding me of a lesson once forgotten.
